You cannot love the world and love God.
Fleshly lust is about physical pleasure that does not honor God.Lust of the eyes deals with the temptation to find something visually appealing in a way that goes against God's standards.The pride of life at its source is the temptation to put yourself first and others last.In each area of temptation the issue is the perversion of God given desire into something ungodly.Godly love and pursuits are eternal but worldly lusts and desires will pass away.The 6th mark of an authentic Christian is a life whose love is focused in the proper direction, on the proper things, and in the proper way that honors God.
